My Website Is Featured on WP Made

On this page

Good news: my own website, tamaspocs.com, is now featured on WP Made.

WP Made is a showcase of WordPress websites. It describes itself as a handpicked collection of standout WordPress sites, meant as inspiration. Sites are grouped by category and by the tools they’re built with. Mine is listed under Agency & Freelance.

What WP Made Highlighted

The listing describes the site as the portfolio of a freelance web designer and developer for service businesses. It’s built around the line “Web design built to flex”. The listing points out:

  • The project showcase: an endless scrolling gallery of more than 30 client websites on the homepage.
  • The story of the page: the problem, the solution, the process, client testimonials and an FAQ about cost, timelines and working across time zones.
  • The visual style: a dark background, off-white text, a bright orange accent and the Anton typeface for headlines.
  • The tools: Elementor on the Hello Elementor theme. The plugins include WP Rocket for speed, JetEngine for dynamic content and Complianz for cookie consent.

How the Site Was Built

I built tamaspocs.com the same way I build websites for clients:

The tamaspocs.com homepage in English: a dark design with the headline Web Design Built to Flex and a portrait of Tamas Pocs
The tamaspocs.com homepage, built in WordPress and Elementor.
  • Words first. I rewrote the copy before anything was designed. The homepage starts from my clients’ problems, in their words. Here’s the full story of that redesign.
  • WordPress and Elementor. The site is easy to change and extend. New sections, pages and blog posts don’t need a rebuild.
  • Speed and details. Custom interactions are added with small code snippets. Caching keeps the pages fast.

What It Means for My Clients

A feature like this is nice to have, but the real test of a website is whether it brings in clients. The approach behind my own site is behind every project I take on. Clear copy comes first. Then a design that reflects the quality of the work and a WordPress site that can grow with the business. You can see more of that work on my homepage, or read how it played out for a real client in the Mrs. Kitty’s Pasta Cottage case study.

Thank you to the WP Made team for including the site.
